There are a lot of websites out there to choose from where I can download movies for a one time payment of about $34.95. It sounds too good to be true. Did the movie industry ever try to shut this down?

Even if you didnt ask for it, here is a word of caution if you are using any free download site.Everybody is looking for FREE stuff. In reality nothing is free. One needs to pay something if not cash then in other kind. There is always some risk in using free download sites which might land you in trouble in future. Most of the times these FREE sites are ILLEGAL.

While selecting any Music/games/movie download site following points must be taken into consideration :

*It must be legal
*Does not charge per song download (unlimited download with a very little one time fees)
*Must have large stock of songs/music with them
*Download process must be faster
*Must provide Free 24 hour Technical Support
*Must have Good Quality MP3 format
*Free from adware/spyware/malware/pop ups and *viruses* , as they can damage your computer/gadget.
*You must be able to burn your own CDs
*Compatible with iPOD.

If you download a movie after paying to a legitimate source then it should be legal. Legitimate sources are those which pay appropriate royalty to original owner of the movie. Some such sources are iTunes, WalMart etc. They sell movies legally so you can buy from them legally. If a movie is made available for download by its owner then downloading is legal as long as you follow conditions of download. Any other download, whether for personal use or for monetary gain, is illegal and unethical.

Out of the Top Ten 'Legal' movie downloading sites, NONE of them charge a one-time fee of any amount! You say you've seen a LOT of websites charging 34.95 and I think you are being mislead. Check out some of the respectable sites and use one or two of them! Here's some:

Vongo
Unbox
iTunes
