There are certain people who for one reason or another need support to sustain tenancies and live as anyone else does within the community. This may be because of a disability an illness, old age, learning difficulties or mental health issues or care and prison leavers.Sometimes they are women fleeing abusive partners or could be asylum seekers. There are organisations that can provide support to these people with support workers helping them to live as independantly as possible. The workers are often outreach workers who help with entry into jobs or education or assist with learning how to budget and deal with practical tasks such as paying bills or shopping or helping to get someones child into a nursery so thy can pursue a job.Support workers can assist with form filling and advocating on the persons behalf.Often these people are isolated with minimum family support. The people who need this service are usually the more vunerable members of society and the main aim is to enable them to lead as normal a life as possible.

Do you mean when the elderly are in assisted living homes or facilities ? Or when mentally challenged people are in group homes ? This means there is someone there to guide them and teach them skills for everyday living, such as getting dressed, bathing, balancing a checkbook, internet skills, etc..

supported living is for people who aren't able to live totally independently. for example - someone with learning disabilities may need help with their bills & someone to check they're ok everyday.
it varies depending on peoples needs, social services do an assessment to see how much support is needed and what sort of support.
hope this helps, happy new year x

Supported living probably means a person in receipt of money from parents, such as a student at uni. It may mean being in receipt of money from a source other than work related income, as in wages or salary.
