For the long term treatment of this condition, and should conservative measures fail, then surgical excision can be required. Usually this surgery can be done on an out-patient basis. The recovery time for this procedure is usually less than three weeks and return to normal shoe wear is very quick

Interdigital nerve irritation (neuralgia) or persistent benign enlargement of the perineurium (neuroma) can produce pain, which may be nonspecific, burning, or lancinating, or produce a foreign body sensation. Diagnosis is usually clinical. Treatment may involve correction of footwear, local injection, or sometimes surgical excision.
Please see the web pages for more details on Morton's neuroma.

It is a benign (not dangerous) tumor of a nerve in the foot. It may feel like you are walking on a marble or you may feel a click with each step.

Depending on how bad it is, changing your footware or insoles may be enough. Injection with steroid would be the next step, and in severe, problematic cases, we can also remove it with minor surgery.
