It depends on the music you like and your voice and how well you sing. Some of my favorites are:
Insensitive by Jan Arden
Turn Me On by Norah Jones
Hella Good by No Doubt (that one is pretty easy)
and anything by Jewel. I do best on her songs.
What ever you find yourself singing along to the most on the radio would probably be the best choices to start with. When your practicing, find a lot of songs you THINK you sing good and try them on Karaoke. If you actually like the song, you will do 10x better. Have fun Karaoke night! : )

Well, I always like "The Devil went down to Georgia" by CDB, but that is more of a guy song. How about Fancy by Reba, if you like country, or "On the Top of the World" by the Carpenters. Something slow with out a bunch of key changes if good.
