something is wrong with my laptop, i own a DELL inspirion e1505, everytime i play my dvd it's not working, so i assume my laptop can't read any dvd without any program and i really need it, can you help me?

That's strange. Were you ever able to play DVDs on tour laptop? First make sure that your disc drive is physically capable of reading DVDs, it should have a little "DVD" logo on it, if it doesn't then you have a normal CD drive (laser inside the drive cant read DVDs).
If your drive has this logo then you should have soft ware preinstalled to play DVD format, look for it in your start menu and try opening it.If not you can go to freecodecs.com to get the latest free DVD codecs, but I don't think that is your problem.

Try VLC. It's open source and free.
