You probably have spyware or adware. In that case, deleting your cookies or defraging will not help. You'll need an antispyware program like Lavasoft's Adaware which is a really good and free one. To download it click the link below.

Theres a few things you can try. Firstly, get a good pop up blocker if you aren't already using one. You should also periodically delete your temporary internet files to avoid trojan horses. The slowness can also be caused if you have conflicting applications on your pc ie 2 similar versions of a programme. Finally, run a full system scan in case there's anything on your pc that's causing it.

Just an idea, but you could try downloading Mozilla Firefox and using that as your browser. I find it quicker than IE and it also stops 99% of pop-up ads. Go here to download - I now never bother with IE!

Sounds like you have a lot of spyware and adware on your PC. Go to http://www.download.com and search for spybot search and destroy and adaware. They will get rid of most spyware.
Also run a full scan with your antivirus software.
