The average life of HDD media is roughly 10,000-30,000 writes per sector, meaning that over time each sector will eventually lose the ability to take an applied charge.
When you reformat a drive you write to the boot sector, so that sector is seeing "above average wear."
One should note that any major file changes, i.e large writes have the same effect, as the portion of the boot sector that stores table information is also being written to.
In simple language every time you reformat and re-install software you are writing to the boot sector about 15-20 times more than usual for a short time.
The long-term difference however is so nominal that realistically you should not see an issue. (maybe a month less of overall drive life assuming you do this repeatedly.)
As for why you are reformatting, I have on occasion run into some software that does require this (i.e.) through embedded drivers that do not want to become unregistered. This is especially true in video capture software.
One possible solution to save you some headaches is Microsoft's "windows installer clean up utility."
It will remove the installer history for a particular program and often allows a re-install of driver dependent software.
It can be downloaded here:

Normal wear and tear will occurs (due to heavy activity, not due to format). So it recommended to do a quick-format instead of a full format.
Generally, there's nothing to be worry about unless you are doing it on a routine basis. e.g.: daily.

there is a problem associated with this .that is if you save and delete it would result in the reduction of speed OR performance at which the work is done ...this is because of EXTERNAL and INTERNAL fragmentation
may be its mor complex or above your level
but still its a fact
