As a nurse I suggest first of all before you go to bed with your drunk take two ibuprofen and a FULL glass of water....really works. If still feel like crap in morning then tomato juice, toast, ibuprofen, and sleep. That's about it. Hydration is the key. When you "pass out" from drinking alcohol dehydrates your body. I use the water and ibuprofen before passing out and it makes a big difference. Hope you feel better soon and be easy on the drinking, not good on the liver. Oh, and do not take tylenol...also very bad on liver especially when drinking!

The party's over and now you're in a regrettable state--queasy, headachy and miserable. Alcohol dehydrates your body, so a hangover is actually a form of mild dehydration.
STEP 1: To rehydrate your body, drink water like the fish you were the night before.
STEP 2: Eat mild foods, since your stomach right now is quite sensitive. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast or soda crackers (BRAT) are all good options.
STEP 3: Check the label before you take a pain reliever to reduce any hangover-induced aches. Some pain relievers, including acetaminophen, aspirin and naproxen sodium, should not be used when alcohol is still in your system.
STEP 4: Rest to allow your body to recover from your revelry.
And If all of that doesn't work remember the old saying... "take a hair from the dog that bit you." I've never tried this but I hear it can be effective.

Well a hangover is basically because your brain is DEHYDRATED.
You can avoid this for the most part if you stop and drink a BOTTLE OF WATER in between each beer or drink you are having.
I can drink like a fish and never dehydrate because I do that and can't remember my last hangover.
If all else fails a good tomato juice and vodka with a shake of pepper (hair of the dog that bit you) will ease it somewhat.
Just remember you can NEVER feel good after drinking no matter what as you've damaged your braincells and they need a few days to repair...so best to pace yourself so you don't drink more than your body can handle.
One drink an hour is PLENTY and avoid SUGARY drinks as the sugar is another thing that gives you a wicked headache...your body and blood can only handle so much of that too. So a nice water with a wedge of lemon or lime in between and you'll do just fine.
Let your friends think it's a gin and tonic if you're too wimpy to tell them it's water.

It may not be a cure but it works. First you have to drink water 3, 4 glasses go for a short walk try and get that water moving around. If possible sit on the toilet for awhile, what you are trying to do is clean your self out a little. Take two Imodium and 1or 2 Vicadin if you have some.If not a couple of Tylenol. Relax for awhile, eat something, eggs are not a good idea, stay with starchy stuff, toast, biscuits whatever. Relax for awhile, now get a 6 oz. glass fill with ice, add 1 1/2 oz. of your favorite vodka add tomato juice, not to much, celery salt, pepper a little regular salt a couple dashes of Worcestershire squeeze a 1/4 lemon in it and down it. By now you should fill pretty damn good.

Best way to cure a hangover is to try and prevent it!
Dont drink on an empty stomach try and eat while or before drinking ** you should still get as drunk dont worry haha **
Also drink water every few drinks and A LOT of water before you go to bed! I take a bottle of water with me to bed as well.
When you drink a lot, your sleep should be disturbed so when I wake up I take pain killers, more water, then sleep all day!
Having a drink the next night can be fun too!
Good luck tomorrow morning! Have fun!

Put the juice of two oranges, plus a banana, some strawberries / any other fruits if you don't have strawberries, plus five crushed walnuts into the blender. Dilute it with half a glass of really cold water, and drink up with two tablets of aspirin. All the vitamins and the minerals from the fruits and the compination of aspirine is going to clear your head completelly in 15'.
P.S oranges and a banana are a must have in this recipe! Happy New Year (drinking!)

There are several tried and true remedies that I have personal knowledge of. 1) is hair of the dog. Just enough to take the edge off. 2) if you can't do hair of the dog because you have to work or function, LOTS and LOTS of water with Ibuprofen. Tylenol won't work, because it is not as good of a pain reliever. 3) Lots of water and add in some juice, like plum juice or cherry or strawberry juice that has a lot of vitamin C but is not as acidic as orange juice. 4) Abstinence is the best for the above malady. :) Nana

a hangover is actually dehydration. the only fix? a good non- greasy meal. 2-3 glasses of water or more, and some ibuprofen, not acetaminophen(Tylenol) to PREVENT hangovers just down 1 glass of water for every drink you had 2 hours prior to going to sleep. NEVER drink to cure a hangover it just dulls the pain and can lead to more serious dehydration(stay away from asprin because it thins your blood and is hard on the stomache and liver)

Sadly most of the "cures" don't work. What does is a "sports" drink that will provide the missing electrolytes like sodium potassium, glucose etc that you lost thru dehydration. Tylenol for headache and eat something light but nutritious such as toast with cheese sandwich. SW RNP

If you can't get hold of some Barrs Irn Bru ( THE scots cure) then try some Sunny D, it's a miracle cure! The ultimate one though surely is to avoid getting too pished in the first place!
