if Soichirio loves u but you dont love him then there is really no need to lead him on. And what makes you think that Francesco really cares for you- remember its just a crush that may not last

No. It would be unkind to do that.
Do you know if you can trust that girl you mentioned? Was she telling you the truth
about Soichiro's feelings about you? Maybe
she just made up a story. Maybe not.
I think the best thing to do is to let it go for now
and then if Soichiro approaches you about
anything, tell him you would just like to remain
friends, but nothing more serious. That way
you will avoid an unpleasant situation and everything should be ok. He will understand.

Guys like it when the message is clear and simple. Why not write him a note expressing your absence of feelings for him. Ask a guy friend in your class to help you with this note. Hand the note to him yourself so he will realize you're serious about every word.

Why don't you introduce your girlfriend to Soichio? If you breakup with Farancesco you can you can tell your girlfriend that Soichro loved her and you go back to Francesco? Cool. Isn't it?

Well, first find out if he really likes you.If he does,then you should tell him in a kind and sweet way that you don't like him.For example:
"Hey Soichiro,I don't really like you that way,I'm sorry.But we could still be friends if you'd like"
