If we back out now then lets send the message to the terrorist that we do not finish what we started. Just like Clinton and Bush Sr. Saddam was only part of the problem. Democracy does not happen over night. If our previous goverment had finished what they started we would not be ant this point. The only differance is that Bush has the guts to stay.

How is it that liberals can't see the real threat in the middle east. Get off your peace be with you crap and open your eyes. There is a real threat from Islam and their goddamned jihad. If we don't squash these camel jockey's now, it's a given, we will see another 9/11 on our own turf. Who are you stupid people going to blame if that happens; Bush for not protecting your sorry @ss?

This war is far from over. The democrats are not going to stop it, because as dumb as they are, even they realize they have no real answers to the problem.

I'm sure that many on the left would like to employ a Clinton strategy, maybe to the point that they brought back Madeline Albright to bring their loser style of diplomacy back to the region. You might remember Madeline, she was the Jewish woman who didn't realize she was a Jew, yet her parents died in the holocaust. This was Clinton's answer to dealing with the Arabs. Now, wasn't that politically correct! I believe she dealt with Kim Jong Il about nuclear disarmament, too. You know, when we agreed to build a nuclear facility for N.Korea and feed their people, if they would only stop making trouble. They promised to behave themselves, remember?

There's no lies here, genius! This is the real world and Bush sees it more clearly than any goddamn liberal. I for one, would rather go down shooting than get caught up in another trap set up by these evil ragheads!

Well I'm glad Saddam was put to death although I think he should have been stoned to death but that's just me. There's not going to be a "lie", and ofcourse Saddam needed to be taken out, but the country is still in turmoil but not for long. It will be a democracy and I think Bush will go down as one of the greatest Presidents we've ever had. If we do not win this war, he will go down as one of the worst Presidents. The Iraqi people want democracy as does Iran etc. but dictators like Saddam ruin the chance and mustard gas their own people. The economy is the best it's ever been EVER and unemployment is at its lowest, gas prices will be going down in Feb. and property is extremely high.

OR you could learn the first reason Congress tried to get you to understand in 2003.

Ill put this as simple/short as I can for your little mind. Saddam got petrolium (Most countries know that), the UN put 17 different sanctions on Iraq because after he got the petrolium he wouldnt let any Weapon Inspectors from the UN or any other nation into his country. Ok now so lets do the math here.

Power Hungry Dictator + petrolium + hiding it and trying to make sure noone sees what hes doing w/ it = WMD
----
So that and the whole Saddam killing 100,000 of his own civillians w/ mustard gas and sarin is why we entered Iraq.

I think that the US should stay in iraq for many decades or longer. We should be able to take all the oil iraq produces at no charge. Look at how long WW2 has been over and we still have troops in Germany and Japan.

What lie?
Here is why we're still there:
Because Iraq needs a security force.
That's it. We went in for Hussein. Just because he's gone doesn't mean there's not still work to do.
