At conception.

I should perhaps explain. You have used the "passive voice" in your question and therefore my answer is correct. A baby's sex is indeed determined as fertilisation takes place (conception). From that moment the tiny embryo is either male or female and nothing will ever change that.

If however you meant to ask (as some answerers have taken you to mean) "At what stage can one determine (= find out) the sex of a baby" then this is a different question and you have some good answers to it.

at conception. It is the male who determines if it is a boy or girl as they have male and female sperm. Womens eggs are all female .You can usually make out the sex at 12 weeks on a scan if the person preforming the scan has lot of experince as this is when the sex organs are developed but it normally easier to tell later normally at 20 week scan

a babys sex is determined at conception, and it has something to do with the date in the cycle that the baby is conceived, female sperm live longer than male sperm, i think ! however the sex cannot be dectected by a scan until around 16 weeks of pregnancy

you detect out the intercourse between the 18 and twenty 2d week. with the aid of then the youngsters genitals are superior. yet dont get your hopes up, each and every so often it would take longer to be sure, reason extremely some the time the toddler won't be interior the suitable place, or in step with threat the surgeon cant study the sonogram. all i comprehend is that i had a sonogram each and every pre-natal bypass to up until i gave beginning... and that i became instructed that i became having a woman each and every time. so i had an all woman toddler bathe. whilst i became led to, and 18 hours or hard work (16hours of hard work/2 hours of pushing) later, i gave beginning to a sprint one boy lol. i couldnt have self assurance it, i in my opinion needed a boy as quickly as I first found out i became pregnant, then whilst my surgeon became so useful i became having a woman, i merely needed a healthful toddler. lol in any case i propose which you the two follow independent colored issues in case the comparable subject happens to you, or get a three-D/4d sonogram completed at 25 weeks.

the babies sex is determined at conception, when the sperm meets the egg, its either an x and x, or an x and a y, that meet, one is a boy one is a girl. Sorry i cannot remember which one is which! all womans eggs are x, the male sperm either carried an x or y gene, so it is the fathers sperm that determines wether the baby is a boy or a girl

by u/s??? or are you wanting to know what week the external sex organs form?
the sex can be detected by u/s usually around 16 to 21 weeks. The external sex organs begin forming in the baby around week 12 though...you just cant tell then by ultrasound b/c at that point boys and girls look the same!

A baby has visible female/male parts at the 12th week of pregnancy but are usually too hard to see on ultrasound. doctors can sometimes tell the sex on ultrasound this early but they usually prefer not to disclose because of the possibility of it being the opposite due to hard visualization. So,most ultrasound techs will wait til at least the 16th week to tell the expectant mother. Good luck!

As soon as the first cell divides into two cells. The genetic information is there, how it pans out will not be determined until the foetus is fully formed at 16 days.

at conception it is determined but at three months you can tell if you have some one that knows what they are doing on a sonogram and later in the last trimester you can get a test done where they stick a needle in your stomach and draw fluid out and they can see if its a boy or a girl the test is called a amniocenteses if you are good luck god bless you
