the ojo board seems to work sometimes , can anyone explain it scientifically - how the glass moves ?

The answer is easy but your wrong presupposition makes it hard for you to understand. The scientific answer is: demons. Demons, you'll need to understand, are just as much as a reality as the air you breath. Remember, just because you can not see something does not means it is not there. The evidence demands the verdict that it is indeed demonic spirits at play in the activity. And this activity, I might warn is condemned in the Holy Scripture as witchcraft. There is your scientific answer.

It could just be the workings of the subconscious mind. The conscious mind thinks the pointer is moving on it's own, but actually the subconscious mind is deliberately moving the pointer to communicate it's wishes and desires.

The so-called subconscious mind could actually be the non-dominant half of the brain that has limited verbal abilities and that often has wishes and desires that are overruled by the dominant verbal half of the brain.
