You all know who you are! If ANYONE DARES to disagree with your opinions or is the other side of the fence to you then you strike the 'report' button! I disagree with many views and opinions on this site but appreciate that everyone is different (what a bore if we were all the same) unlike the majority of sheep on here. Please don't be led by the p.c. brigade and try to form a few opinions for yourselves. Listen to what others have to say and evaluate their views in an unbiased manner as you would wish them to do for you!
If you think about it this is fast becoming a communist site (for want of a better term)- either you agree with the sheep or you get reported! Oh, and by the way; even if a question or answer seems a bit harsh, so what! Have you all forgotten the term 'joke'?

Devils Advocate - the amount of thumbs down you have been given entirely sums up the people I am referring to!!

Never forget, some folk are not as socially aware/experienced as others. Owning and using a PC does not bestow worldliness upon the user. Humour is NOT universal, and anyone who has `knocked around a bit`, will have developed , if not a thick skin, then certainly an appetite for humour that is more personal. You will know who I mean, those bloody clowns who call every joke/aside that you utter, "sarcasm", and run home to the safety of Dad`s Army re-runs, laugh their socks off at Bruce Forsyth, and tell you that YOU have he lowest form of wit ! I have never yet used the `snitch`button, but am sorely tempted only by the few bigots hereabouts, who deny the Holocaust, and spread anti-Semitic bile. Perhaps one day!

I've never wanted to report someone just because they disagreed with my opinions or couldn't spell.
Sometimes I'm appalled by the infantile nature of some people on this forum, or the sheer anger and hatred that radiates from others, but I struggle to think that they'll grow up and calm down one day.
I'm all for diversity (in the original sense of the word, I mean. I'm afraid it's rather been hi-jacked by the pc brigade). There's room for all of us.
Apart from those obviously beyond the pale, that is.

Giving the thumbs down is not the same as reporting. You report by clicking the flag...various reasons, some silly PC, some for pushing websites which might contain viruses. I'm non-PC and proud of it but there are some really obnoxious bast**ds out there who need reporting.I am someone who has had two (funny in my opinion, and others who gave me a thumbs up..) jokes banned. One was the one about Stephen Hendry!!
Get a life.

I have never reported anyone, although I have been reported twice. If I disagree, I either just disagree and move on, or don't participate and move on. I completely agree with you, and find little sense of humor a great deal of the time.

I have reported a few times.
First, I report anyone who is using Y!A as a personal or professional ad space. This is not a forum to sell your services or products.
Second, I will report someone who is SO offensive it cannot be overlooked.
I don't report people for being stupid (60%) or having terrible spelling (80%) nor for having a point of view different than my own.

I report what Yahoo has termed "adult content" ie porn pics that are exposing children to things most parents would not allow. Mature individuals consider that as predatory behavior in the midst of children. I'm still scratching my head on the "adult" part of "adult content" though...has to be referring to legal age not behavior.
Far as flagging/reporting people that disagree about that which is not illegal ....yes, no question that is going on.

I rarely report anyone... if I do, it's as a result of spam or a real nasty obscenity (think pedophilia)...
Apart from that, people report as they are playing the role of 'teacher' or 'monitor' or 'police' of Yanswers (& culture in general)...
Most such folks are not worth trying to understand... riddled with virii of thought, ignore them... or laugh @ their low intelligence...
Some of us did well @ school 'coz' we told the teacher what the teacher wanted us to say....
Some of us did well 'coz' the teacher was frightened that we'd make the teacher look stupid (again)...
Life is a joke.. God, if there is one, laughs a lot...

I was reported twice yesterday by the same person! If you can't let things wash over you you're really not going to survive the real world.

I report the racist and abusive posts... and the ones where someone just replies 'you are a moron', if it ticks me off enough, although I'll usually just give em a thumbs down.
