no.

claire threw tom's jacket in the lake and locked tom in the car. she then ran and told max that tom had fallen in the lake. he jumped in to save him and started drowning.

but ob turned up just in time and dived in to save max. max went to hospital and him and ob made up for tom's sake. claire was arrested but then released because there wasnt enough evidence.
