I know for a fact that s/p is a small because the s stand for small. But I have always wondered what the p stands for. or the m/m in medium. or the g in l/g.

P is for Petite, M is for medium and G is for Grande. It's the size in spanish.

P is petite. MM just means meduim and medium in spanish and LG is Large/ Grande. Its just the different ways that designers or companies around the world lable sizes so everyone understands.

P is "petite". It means that it fits someone who is shorter than average, so sleeves, hems, waistlines, legs, etc., will be shorter by a little. Try things on. Sometimes a petite fits an average sized person.
