Your former employer apparently charges for records. You might try guessin, or approximating you employment dates. The mont and yaer are usually sufficient.

You should be able to contact your former employers and get a copy of your employee records for free.

Dates of month/year are usually sufficent. But, you can also simply call up the HR department. They don't charge you for that information and they are required to disclose it.
