Saddam had committed countless acts against humanity throughout the years. If you read the newspaper, you would have seen that he was only punished for one of them. If Saddam would have been a kind ruler instead of a dictator, he never would have faced the fate he did. I think he deserved his death sentance because he had killed many thousands of people. He had tortured innocent prisoners and sentanced innocent people to death. If that isn't enough to be condemned to death, I don't know what is.

I dont think it was too cruel, if it was really him. That man is chilling out on a beach some place...far! he gave up all information, oil, family and he knew too much. Dude will bring in the new year with a smile. He is not dead, we will never hear of him any more, he is on lock down 4 the rest of his life.

The forms of execution in an Islamic state do not include our kinder, gentler methods of execution. They use hanging, stoning and firing squad. A firing squad is considered an "honorable" death. Hanging and stoning are for criminals. Of the 2 choices, he got the kinder one.

For those bleeding hearts who can't handle the thought of permanently removing a truly evil person, might I suggest that we build a prison for them on the moon, with a one week's supply of air and 6 years worth of food. No guards would be required after a week. Is that kind enough for you?

See for us to be an outside party looking at this...we are free to make any opinion. But the truth of the matter is, if we were one of the victims, who knows how we would be. Me personally, if it was my family that Saddam victimized, I would be out for blood. Eye for an eye. Does that mean I am an advocate for Capital Punishment....I don't know, it is so grey.

They should have taken him to the most secure maximum security penitentiary on the planet to live out the rest of his stinking, rotten days in solitary, maybe give him one hour of recreation outside his cell a week.

He got everything he deserved. How can you call it cruel when he put so many through pain and suffering. The man was evil. Good riddence to bad rubbish.
