My Guitar Hero 2 disc loads the menu screen and songs very slowly. After a very small drop, it doesn't work like it should. I used a Game Doctor disc cleaner, but this only made it worse after the buffing square scratched it. I have heard that you can flush discs in a toilet to make them work, but that seems very far fetched to me. Will that work? And what else can I do?

There may be a place in your area that will polish the disk back to new for 4-5 bucks. They basically have this machine, the disk spins at high speed and they use this buffer wheel with liquid compound that will totally restore the disk.

I think the store here was called Replay. You could do a search and see if there is something similar in your local mall.
