Yes! Emphatically yes. I left work early with heart trouble a couple of years ago. Had enough to live on and get along but became increasingly uncomfortable. Had notions of taking up art and writing since i had the time but never did it. finally just miss being in a group situation and working with the group. people like us get conditioned to being a work. it is like we need the group like a family (with the favorite and least favorite relations). And need the activity and the familiar routine. Hated it when i started out and got used to it. now i need it. that is my answer.

I've been bored for 11 months now--laid up with a work related injury--I'd love to go back to work--but the doctors won't release yet--I'm looking at another 11-12 months!!! Talk about bored from 60-70 hours a week!!!

Well if you are bored, why don't you look up the verb: to bore, and learn how to spell?????

If I knew I could not spell, then I would never be bored, or were you thinking of a chess board, that would be something to solve your boredom. Yahoo games is great..try it!

Good luck!

Have never been bored in my life. There's always something new and exciting to think about or do. As you grow older, you'll have stored in your brain everything you ever heard, be it conversations or music or the sound of nature. Switch on, tune in and listen. You will never be bored again.

Nah, at the mo I'm a student nurse so I'd rather be bored out of my brains than at work - way too stressful and scary!! But yeh, normally by now I'd be dead to the joys of that not working usually brings!

I have had a week off and was thought to have two more weeks off, until I was called to come back early. I'm in the middle of a divorce, so the down time lead me to think to much about it. I was lucky to get called back early. I did have plans if I did not have to go back early to try and keep busy. This web sight alone helps to occupy my mind while also learning something. In closing, you bet glad to go back to work.

You really need a hobby. Something to take your mind off work and help you relax.

Think about this. Are you going to be one of those people that literaly DIE of boredom once they retire.

Life isn't all about the paycheck, find something to make it worth living.

after 20+ years of working, I found my dream job... doing something I am good at in a place I am appreciated... I hate weekends/vacations because being home is not something I am particularly good at so yes, I'd rather be at work
