nicely in case you turn your Bible to genesis 2:7 it states that God blew the breath of existence and the guy got here to be a residing soul. and additionally at 1Corinthians 15:40 5 it says that the 1st guy Adam became a residing soul. And Ecclesiastes 9:5 says " for the residing are extensive unsleeping that they are going to die; yet as for the lifeless, they are extensive unsleeping of no longer something in any respect." so as you will see you are the soul, it is not some thing become self sufficient from you nor will it survive once you die.
