Because their men insist they do....and will publicly flog them for not doing so. That is the result of a male dominiated culture. Brilliant huh?

It is definitely a male dominated society. Men do tell them what to wear and how to act and back this up through religious teachings. Through violence the women are forced to obey. The men also brainwash them into believing it is for their own good, preventing rape etc.
There was a story about it on 20/20 where a pregnant woman needed to get to the hospital because she went into labor. Her sister had the veil, so she left without it. The police pulled her over and beat her for not being covered. Her child died and I am not sure if she did.
Women in their own way try to individualize themselves. Many try to wear elaborately decorated coverings. Shoes are important and toenails are always painted. They try to be flashy and glamorous any way possible. They are still women.

Mostly because the men are telling them to. Women are seen as second-class people over there, so as you can imagine, they don't have that many rights.

they are covering their faces beacue menn force them too...its sort of sad if you ask me...its as if men run the world..and everything has to be done by their orders..women have no rights there

I think there bodies and faces are very precious...so they cover them as the god ordered....And also men don't force them to
