I read an article once that says the do lots of things with them. Some of them they send off on cruises (must be nice). Others will do volunteer work in the area that they are staying.

There aren't weeks off the camera. They have a challenge every day, not once a week. The magic of television just stretches it out for us.

Pretty much what you see on TV they have the cameras running all the time even at night. Then they piece together what makes good viewing.
