Hi I'm the mother of a now 1 year old and my son used to do the same thing, I asked the doctor about it and he said that it's called Colic. Colic usually happens around the same time each day and all you can really do is just let them cry it out. It really doesn't matter if they have been fed, burped, or changed it's just something that they have to get out of their system. It usually stops within a month but if you are really not sure about it you might want to ask the doctor.

Babies tend to have a period of time during the day usually right around the same time for an hour or two where they are just unconsolable. I could be colic or it could just be their own little nervous systems letting loose. Either way its normal. My best advice tho...get yourself some MYLACON. Its drops for babies with colic. Its a God send. Any grocery Store or pharmacy OTC. Its in a blue and pink box.

Babies do normall have a fussy period and it's usually in the evenings so it's perfectly normal for you t be going through this however if you notice her arching her back or really spitting up more often she could have a problem with reflux or an allergy to her formula good things to bring up with your pred. at the next visit. Good Luck

Your daughter sounds like she is colicky, or it might be the formula if you are bottle feeding. Either way you might want to talk to your your doctor about her symptoms just to be safe. There are some helpful websites you could visit for ideas on how to help her in the mean time, one is @ www.babycenter.com Good Luck

Colic? Evening colic is common for four week olds.
Make sure you cuddle her after a feed.
My baby son is 4 weeks old too and I breastfeed him. After he's finished I put him against my shoulder and rub his back, it seems to calm him a little and he often drops off to sleep.
Ask your doctor or midwife/health visitor.

it could be her formula if she is on formula. if not it could be that she isn't getting enough breast milk. although is she crying and then falling asleep. if so she may just fighting sleep. at 6 weeks my sweet baby girl started that and one day i was real tired and so after she ate and had a clean diaper i just laid her back down to go to sleep on her own and guess what it worked to my amazement she was not able to get comfortable to go sound asleep until she was in her bed. yeah and good for me. i work 12 hours a day and went back to work when she was only 4 weeks old. sometimes i enjoy holding her even if she is asleep. it is my time but when it was making her uncomfortable i had to stop. good luck.

Sounds colicky. Try to comfort her and do what you can, but you might be fighting a losing battle. Take turns with your significant other and know that this too shall pass.

You did not indicate if you are breast feeding, but if you're using a forumla, she may be lactose intolerant. Try altering her formula.
