Yes! My cat "Monster" can be sweet and loving and then the Devil comes out! But I still love him.

Personally, I don't think any animal can be "evil." There may be angry, temperamental or selfish animals but it's not their fault. Some of it is genetic, animals' dispositions can run in their family or breed. (Example, Siberian Huskies have been bred to be gentle and loving, the Inuit couldn't afford to have sled dogs that were going to be biting their kids and such; but some unscrupulous breeders have so inbred some dogs that they have become vicious due to genetic flaws.)
Sometimes the animal acts out because it's been hurt in the past. It's just trying to take care of itself. It's not actually setting out to harm others, it's trying to protect itself or trying to get something to eat.
I think humans are the only animals that truly have a capacity for evil, where they deliberately and consciously choose to do wrong.

Yes, I have had several pets in my lifetime. Some have been very sweet and others have been very naughty. I had a cat hat I swear had 666 on her somewhere. She was mean and vicious and unfriendly, she bit people and hissed and the vet had to use a special glove to touch her, he called her "fang", her name was Katy-cat.
