there would be a way to create something similiar myself and not have the monthly payments. It is a small window with a "to do"
list that you can add to and delete things as you do them. It stays on "top" of all the other screens so you can always see it. It wouldn't have to do that if there was a way i could pull it up any time I want. It's about 3" x 3". Any ideas would be appreciated. It would just be a little blank square box basically that I make my todo
lists in. Thanks for any help.

Do you have Microsoft Word or Excel?
You could make a list on either of those and leave it open in the tray OR make a shortcut on your desktop to that file.
(Or any word processing program.)

Just use Notepad. It's easy and has some pretty neat features.
