Isn't that funny that there are more adults at a one year old party than kids? I felt like it was a party for the grandparents!! My daughter is a Dec. baby so I went with a snowflake theme with light blue, silver and white colors. I found M&Ms in those colors and put bowls of those and Hershey's kisses everywhere, had snowflake window clings on the windows and bought white roses in blue vases. You could definitely go with Hello Kitty or pick a cat color theme, like a white kitty accented with pink or orange tabby kitty. You can get candy and flowers in those colors and get a kitty b-day cake. Have fun!

I Say You Go ahead With The Pool Party!!!! They're Are Going To Get Wet Anyways Right!!! Of Course If There Is Lightning Expected Then I Would Recommend Moving It Indoors, But I've Had A Pool Party That Got Rained On And It Was The Best Pool Party I've Ever Had. You Might Also Run This Through The Children's Parents, Some Of Them Might Not Like The Idea!!! Also You Might Want To Set Up A Dry Area Like In A Corner For Some That Don't Want To Get Wet!!! Well I Wish You Good Luck! And A Happy Birthday To Your Daughter

At one year old she will never remember the theme anyway but you want to make it special. Isnt there a theme with a cat called Hello Kitty? Its a cute white cat with a pink bow on her head. Maybe she would like that! I done Elmo for my 2 sons! Good Luck and Wal mart is the cheapest store I have found for party supplies, unless you live near a party-city store!

Since she likes cats you could use Hello Kitty or have a cat in the hat party and let everyone wear silly hats. I think that the adults would enjoy it just as much as the children. Use white balloons and color red stripes on them. White tableclothes with red stripes. Make a cake shaped like a hat that the cat would wear. Read cat in the hat books to the children. Hope that this helps you.

There are lots of party decorations with just cats on them. Or you could use hello kitty. You could just do an animal or pet theme. You could give out hello kitty fruit snacks or something. Good luck with your party. My sons first birthday is pooh bear.

I agree with KitKat.
What we did was we had a really nice dinner party, with children and adults. The theme wasnt necessarily a character or idea as much as it was just about color. Everything was pink and white. We had balloons everywhere and the favors were pink and white. It was really nice.

A one year old does not know about themes nor do they care. Themes are for the parents.
