If you want a lay back life style, you can study any things. If you want a best life style that you can control, try Network Marketing.

It is all in your mind.

It sounds like you want a job that not only pays well but helps to push the limits of what the IT profession is. The good news is that there are jobs like this out there. The bad news is that there is a good amount of competition.

First and foremost, find an area of IT that really gets you fired up. If you can't bring passion to your area of focus, your career will start to be a real burden.

After that, find areas that are currently -- or will be in high demand.

Here's some areas to look into:
Information Security
Search engine optimization
office automation
IT needs for the health care industry

Be sure to love what you do and do it well!

Best of luck!

first of all know that an average IT earns an average of $50 000 a year.. second thing is don't choose ur major in function of the money you'goin' to earn later on.. College is to have fun 31% of americans are not working in the field they studied in but 95% of those are happy and leave well... IT still has a long way to go..the more there would be innovations, the more we would need IT.. people are getting scared away by IT, and the field is now becoming better like before.. anyway think about it very well..

yes, there is a future in IT.
right now, the telecommunications, voice and network areas in IT are in expansion mode.

however, lots of other fields like health care are also expanding.

i am a bit concerned that your motivation is just to get a higher salary. in every industry, there are successful people and those that remain on the lower rungs of the career ladder. if you don't have a passion for what you do, you may find your career progress to be a struggle.

please try to find a field where you can enjoy your job as well as earn a higher salary.
