If the election were held only for people makng $50,000/year or less, John Kerry would have whipped George Bush 55%-45%. In fact, if it were held only for people making $100,000/year or less, John Kerry still would have beaten George Bush, 51%-49%.

No, that’s not just a regional dynamic. No, poor people still don’t elect Republicans in red states. Bush lost the South (49%-50%), the Midwest (44%-56%), and the West (47%-52%) among voters making $50,000/year or less. If only people making $50,000/year or less had voted, John Kerry would have picked up Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, and Virginia, and Louisiana and South Carolina would have been too close to call.

A better question might be.... Who voted for President Bush, and WHO VOTED AGAINST KERRY? ME on the last one.

If your rules were followed, no one in my family would have been allowed to vote, and we all voted for Kerry.

I don't believe in taking the vote of anyone.

I'm not sure what the question is here - other than, no I did not vote for Bush. Also, your point that people who make less than $50,000 per year - that group makes up more than 1/2 of the US working population since the average income is about $48,000 per year. So yes, if more than 50% of the population voted, there may have been a different outcome.

I agree with the point I think you are attempting to make - if more people voted, we would have a more representative government.

I'm sure that of those 49 million plus that voted for him in 2004, not all that many are willing to admit it now. I didn't vote for him either time because I live in Texas and saw how he screwed things up here while he was Governor - and that office here is largely ceremonial and he still made a mess of things!!! He just snowed the American people and they bought into his bs. Maybe 3 out of 10 who voted for him will still admit it.

CNN sucks. Bush and the USA won, Kerry and the terrorists still loose no matter how many more times you or your kind bring it up.

One thing is for sure and that is that the majority of Americans voted for Bush whether we like to admit it or not.

I don't think that many people who voted for Bush are proud of that fact today.

Well, except for the very rich who got their tax cuts.
