how can i copy a dvd onto my computer.?

i have a sony handycam dvd105, i want to copy the dvd into my computer so i can edit the dvd on movie maker, but the files come back invalid for editing, the files are ifo and vob, how can i make the valid file types?

The files are probably fine, you need some program like Roxio or similar to do the edit.

use a different ripper. dvd decryptor or dvd fab
