Well at least for some people.. not everyone enjoys good health and prosperity.
But not everyone is all that and "a bag of potato crisps" either?
Please explain why the world is such a cruel and ugly place.. for those that it really is?

hey I'm okay... I can see the beauty in the world... but I do see the ugly in the world that can't be denied either.. like this teenage boy who was molested and now they are looking for the dudes that did it.. when I first heard about about it I said, "why does the world have to be such a cruel and ugly place?"

Because we have so many people whining and suing, stealing, raping, etc. It's the low-lifes of the world that has made it such a horrible place. They were obviously either raised wrong or are just evil.

Your question has been asked for hundreds of years....and the answer is simple....sin.....and it started back in the Garden of Eve.....however the awesome hope of it all, is that because God sent His son into the world to bridge the gap between man and God and we have the beautiful opportunity to accept Christ into our hearts and in the midst of all the cruel and ugly things that go on, we can know that this is not our home....God gives us the peace and the joy and the strength and courage to get through it all. I just recently lost two of my best friends to cancer, then my son-in-law was killed leaving behind a wife and 3 beautiful children, then in the midst of it all I am facing major major surgery in 2 weeks....yes I am upset and saddened by all this, yet I know that God is still in control and He will get me through it....Life was never promised to be smooth, and we do not have all the answers to everything....Christ went to the cross for You and I, and He did rise again......not like all the other gods that other people worship.....It is up to you to seek Him if you are really serious about the truth for your life.....He is what you are seeking, I will pray that you will find him.....in your heart.....

It's the people that make places cruel and ugly. Those who do the awful things and those who do nothing to help the situations.

People waste their lifes on such hate. They don't know what they are doing and what they are doing to others. Its sad to see people murdering people becasue they are putting their life in danger of getting their life put down. People don't see that there is a good side of life. And i soon hope that the good side wiill soon open up.

the world can be a cruel and ugly place if you allow it to be. instead you surround yourself with family and friends who you can count on to have your back as you have theirs. you do good works when its possible and have a positive additude. when you're down the only place to go is up!

If people would give up hate and war then maybe those trillions could fix at least a few problems and that contentment would bring further peace.

Because parents no longer teach their kids respect for others and discipline. This kids grow up and the same happens with their kids. Broken homes are normal now. You can't even trust your local priest anymore. It is just a viscous cycle.
