Vierender Sehwag is the only Indian batsman who has scored a triple century.
He scored 309 runs in 375 balls with the help of 39 fours and 6 sixers in the first test of 2003/2004 series against Pakistan played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan from 28th March to 1st April 2004.

If it is scoring 300 runs in a one test innings, the only Indian to do it so far is Virender Sehwag (309).
Sunil Gasvaskar's highest test innings is 236.
