Even if people see the video, conspiracy theories will abound. They always do.
I don't see the point, either. I tried to watch them placing the noose around his neck, but I couldn't do it. I can't stand the man, but he just looked so scared and deflated...somehow it seemed easier watching the second plane hitting the WTC, than it did watching a single man face his death.

Trust me, watching news footage of what Saddams men did to others these last few nights in following his orders, is 100 times more disturbing than watching that bastard hang. His hanging is nothing compared to that.Noose on, drop to the gallows,.. over..Short and sweet and way too nice for that piece of camel dung, and again, NOTHING in comparison to what has been shown on the news to what he did to others while living..So while people like Ri call others morbid and blah blah blah, for watching it, I guess they are just as morbid for watching the 10:00 nightly news..

well, if they watched the ful version then you "know" that Saddam is really dead. if you watch the cut version, you have no idea what really happened after the cut.

Or, perhaps it's like how traffic slows down to look at the wreckage from a car crash...

I don't either. It is like a murder scene, where people flock because they have a morbid curiosity and are sick minded individuals.

Psychologists have studied this problem, and have discovered that there are large majority of the morbidly curious that get aroused by watching the violence. Maybe they are just impotent otherwise?

it's better than MTV's Real World, but if NPR was a television show, i wouldn't even need to watch Saddam hang.
