I only tried it this summer when I had a broken elbow. It worked for me. I normally have no trouble sleeping, but the pain from the broken elbow was waking me up and keeping me awake. I probably took this about 20 nights at this time and it helped me sleep throughout the night. IMO, sleeping pills are not a good habit to start on a nightly basis, because they can be addictive, but that is your call. I've never taken one since my elbow healed up in August. I would suggest only taking them when you are sick, if that's when you have trouble sleeping. Good luck!

don't buy it if it is just for sleeping advil is very hard on the kidneys. like very hard on them i take advil only if it is really a bad pain. it works about as good as any over the counter sleeping aid. my doctor once said get some childrens benedryl and take a teaspoon of that to help sleep but only use it occasionaly to avoid getting hooked on it.

How funny I just took it now for the first time as well.... searched for anyone that has taken it and found your question.
Oops on the answer with regard to the kidneys.... Not sure if taking it once would give me a problem ;)
I normally take this tea called Tilo and that helps me out, but didn't today... for some odd reason I got a free sample and said to myself, why not? Sleep well :)

Advil is a trade name for ibuprofen,an otc pain reliever which helps to reduce fevers and inflammation, muscle pain, headaches etc.The "PM" part is a antihistamine called "Benadryl" that has a drowsy side effect, thus helping you to fall asleep. Please follow the directions on the box,and don't abuse it.It may help your cold symptoms.Look for the "generic" or store brand, much cheaper, and exactly the same.
