I don't think you're crazy, I believe they are real too, I don't know where to find any. Are you sure you really want to come across one?

the closest thing to being a "were" or a "werewolf" is to be one spiritually, that is part of you is spiritually connected to a certain animal.
Unless a person claiming to be a shape shifting "were" or "Werewolf" can prove it, it is physically impossible to instantously shift from one form to another. It'll take too long to explain in full detail, but first of all instant shifting into another life form (I'm not talking about metamorphosis done by insects or frogs and that is done over time) has never been done in the animal kingdom, and that is because serves no useful biological purpose anyway. If it did, it would of been done already. And if it was possible, most likely it would be done by prey animals, and even then that's a challenge because while the prey animal is "shifting" into a stronger larger form, it's verable in mid-form where it is helpless. The only way to by-pass this is to somehow become invisible or shift very quickly which produces it's own challenges.
For an organism to shift into a different form in the way they do in werewolf movies, a lot of energy has to be produced, and when energy is produced a waste has to be produced. When living oragismisms use energy heat is one of the by products. The more energy an organism uses, the more heat is given off. To physically shift from lets say, human to werewolf, bones have to lengthen, muscles contract, lengthen or shorten, nails become claws, face structure changes, blood volume increases ect. all of this has to happen instantously and in also perfect coordination. All of this shifting will produce an awful a lot of heat. Unless the body delvopes some extra ordinary way to get rid of all this excess heat, the human would die from hyperthermia before become a werewolf or burst into flames (If you ever mixed together one of those instant hardening epoxy resins, did you noticed how hot it got? this is the same idea).
Then you have the pain factor. Unless the Human werewolf evolves some way to numb the body when it shifts, turning into a werewolf will be unbearable.
And lastly where will all this extra mass come from? Not from the thin air.
So unless this "werewolf" is a higher being, it's impossible for a human, and anything alive in that matter, in shift into another form instantously.

Please understand that I have no idea as to why you would want to tangle with any werewolves. For the simple reason is that it maybe the last thing on this earth that you might do. Werewolves next to vampires are one of the strongest and fastest things for you to come up against. I can only believe that you have a death wish. Or you are hoping that it just bite you. thus making you a werewolf. Well I believe that you maybe in for a surprise for even in legend it does not fully work in that way. For in truth the legend states that you will have to die and wake up again and that really depends in you not being eaten by other animals or the werewolf that attacked you. So all I can say is that you are out of your mind and I hope that you are not able to find a werewolf......................

My First Question and it is a good one. First off, they have to be real. Anything that has so much history has to have its roots in fact. Finding one, good question. I would keep putting questions like this one online and maybe one will see it and contact you. (If they do, contact me too, for I also would love to find and become one, now that would be the life) No, you are not crazy, just incredability open minded. Any other questions you may wish to ask, email me. but only through answers, the internet is full of crazies and I never give out my email or real name

Crazy? Nah! Actually, I'm a seer, with a bit of magi mixed in. OK, first place to look would have to be Transylvania, which actually I surprised you didn't think of that already. second place, Germany and the surrounding areas. The folklore there is huge. Third place, Mexico... But that's a last resort, the Mexicans make up stories to scare children from European folklore, they necessarily don't have their own monsters. Good luck, by the way, if you succeed in your quest, DON"T KILL IT!!!! the creatures are the cherubim, so that's a no-no, cause they can't be killed, so. Good luck!

The reasons things do not get discovered:
They don't exist
They are obscure, in remote locations or there aren't enough of them.
They are covered up
They are dangerous enoughto make sure anyone finding them don't survive.
Add all those ups and you should probably start planning a trek to the darkest deepest German forest, anthropology myths are widespread throughout Europe but the werewolf is pretty squarely entrenched in Eastern Europe, and odds are it has to be a place where real wolves live wild still. Take plenty of protection, photographic equipment and best of luck.
If you want some well written werewolf fiction check out the books published by Kelly Armstrong, they're very good

Sorry, Baby Girl, but you're incorrect; werewolves are not real. The only place you'll find them is in works of fiction. The way the legend got started was because of the disease rabies. In ages past, before the advent of science and medicine, when people were bitten by rabid creatures, they behaved erratically, and this is where the legend began. But they don't exist. And if they did exist, don't you think we'd be hearing more about them in the news? That would be some pretty big stuff, don't you think?

I'd think a forest in a sparsely inhabited region of Eastern Europe would be a likely target.
Consider watching news reports in that area about animal attacks, suspicious disappearances, etc.

Ok... There are 2 possibilities. The first is the same: they are ficticious beings.
The second one is: if werewolves exist. Then there must be difficult to find, depend on how many already exist. Also don't forget that there must be a reason because werewolf remain as a secret: if they were discovered, there would be a lot of trouble with scientists, and goverment.
So, in case they exist, the best for them is leave them live their lives.
