A Frienship may have 2 to 5. Mostly there were 3, jib, staysail and main. Some had a topsail. Some flew a yankee.Frienship was a name given to boats made by Morres Boatworks of Friendship Maine. (not the same as Morris Boatworks of South Harbor Maine.)Friendship sloops was a generic name given to sailing fishing boats mostly built in Friendship, ME.(See website for Frienship sloopsSociety)
