Yes,he should have been trialed in an international court for crimes against humanity...but the outcome wouldn't have been the same,because I seriously doubt that he would have been condemned to death...

The international community doesn't agree with the US on the execution of Sadam. It would also have caused too many security concerns for "The Hague" to deal with Sadam.
