I don't exactly get what u mean by Ur Q!!!
I also don't know about Egyptians few hundred years ago....
Let's talk about now....
My IQ is very high that I'm classified as super genius & I know a few bunch of Egyptian people who are classified like me....
The hidden Genius factor here is due to lack of interest to show & develope it, not due to it's lack.....
Egyptians have many hidden talants, that with proper care will show & evolve....

Yes indeed they were! Recent research on human evolution stated that the first human (also called the scientific Adam) was born in East Africa he was far more intellectual and supreme than his counterparts, he could devise new sharp tools for hunting and he was the first to take languages into a new level.He made a new languages which consisted over 100 syllables (English has only 36). And like Genghis Khan he spread his population to vast areas and in some centuries they reached Australia, South America and other Eastern countries, and in no time humans were everywhere with different color (environmental changes).
So you see this scientific Adam's nearest influence that is Egypt, could make the the Pythagoras theorem, calculate the value of pi and devise the game of cricket and brainy games like chess.

Look at the pyramids?? How on earth did they build them?? That in itself is a miracle! Considering the time, energy and the mathematical equations that went into it. I am sure that some were amazingly intelligent, and like today in our society, some were not!

there is many types of intelligence you can find some one in arts and maths and social and atheletics and science and so on.
and here in egypt they are really smart if they put the rught guy in the right place
