Usually, a cell phone is around for a year or so, before I upgrade the phone for a newer model or it is cheaper to buy a newer cell phone. Before I donate the cell phone, I would like to delete all personal information including calendar appointments, contact lists, messages. How do I erase the cell phone.

I think there's probably a way to delete everything at once, but if not you could delete everything one by one

Depending on the phone model, in the "Settings" menu, there should be an option where you can Reset the phone to it's factory settings. Play around with the phone and you will surely find it.

If you go to the "settings" on your phone, there should be a "master reset" or something along those lines, choose that and all the contents you have added will be deleted.
