It's key hole surgery and when you can have sex depends entirely on what you have done. Could be anything from 1 week to 6 weeks. Ask your surgeon before the op.

I've had nine laps. I asked after the first few when I could have sex (the nurs answered "Why, are you that desparate?"!!!!! No, I'm not, but I am trying to conceive) but the generalconsensus seems to be when you are ready to.

It depends on what you are having done, how you recover and wether you bleed or not. I've had diagnostic laps and elt ok after three days or so and have been able to make love after a week. I've had extensive excission surgery for endometriosis and its been several weeks before I've felt human and 7-8 weeks before we've been able to resume sex.

If you're about to have a lap, I wish you luck for speedy recovery.

Pretty much as soon as you feel well enough to. Sex won't "knock" anything loose or anything like that, it just may cause pain.

Of course, there are other ways to have sex besides intercourse!!
