I have just built a monster truck following the instructions to the letter but when I tried it for the first time it drives the wrong way why?

Do you mean forwards/backwards? Is this a remote control monster Truck? Check the wires connecting to the servo's!! This would explain it!!

You bought the model made for Australia...
Motor is wired backwards, possibly from the factory.

you could have the power source the wrong way round, this has happened to me before.
