I am 38+3 weeks pregs this is my 2nd prednancy but with my first i had to be induced at 37 weeks so I am not familiar with what I am feeling and because I am anxious for this pregnancy to be ova I feel i may be feeling things that isn't there but what i did notice is that my discharge is smelly it is a little embarrasing to ask so please only answer if you have something serius to say, anyway can this be a sign that labour is near?

The discharge is normal.It is stringy and thick . I believe it is your mucas plug starting to soften and break away. Use mini pads to protect your under clothes.

If your discharge smells bad you need to speak to a doctor as that is a sign of infection. Which you need to get cleared up before you give birth.

If it just smells musty it just may be because you have more and things are staying damp.

Either way it isn't really a sign of labour.

There are two different things that could be happening. If your discharge is thick and stringy, that could be your mucus plug starting to break away, but if it smells, that could mean you might have a yeast infection. Either way you should probably call your doctor. Congrats and Good luck
