The most intelligent thing I've read on here today. You're not alone, not everyone believes in the death penalty or is sick enough to wish to view somebody's death.
The macabre idiots will soon get bored though and go back to reading The Sun and playing snap with their Taliban playing cards!

Sure. but not only the obsession with seeing the execution that is making me sick, but also this joy among AMERICANS that he s dead. I mean we all know he killed 1000000 etcccc.... but what has he done to USA?? he was a good friend of USA till they decided it was time to get rid of him, while years ago they used to arm him. the Americans -because many of them lack knowledge and info- are misled by the media and politicains.. I see so many members here call him the trator.. or"finally he s dead" or "now Peace".. he was never a threat to anyone but his own nation and people. he was never into fundemntalists islamic terrorists or whatsoever. he was just for him self, keeping his own power. so please... try to use your brains before saying BSht.
Addition: to Eja cu late. you are a Pre mature Eja Cu Late. Nothing really can make you think, huh? i mean aftr all was written here you still come with ur retarded words and post it. well... i give up.
happy new year everyone.

Yeaps, I'd probably be sleepless for three months if I watched it.
But if you really don't want to view any Saddam questions, the hairstyling board is open and so is the dating and relationships board...and the food one and the alcoholic drinks one. You get the idea.

Well, it has been a long time since the leader of a country was executed (17 years, as Ceausecue was executed Christmas Day 1989) but never so public of a spectacle

Ah, well, he is a hot topic. People want to see his hanging because they dont believe he was executed, and think he was smuggled out of the country by the CIA and is living a brand new life under an assumed name here in the US already.
By watching those two videos, they can feel relieve that he really did die, and is no longer a threat.

Ah! Someone normal?
Reminds me of the scenes around the pictorial history of the French revolution.
Doesn't say much for a civilised society does it?
Still who are we to shout? Not much here either it seems.

I totally agree with you! I haven't been able to look at the Sunday papers today, my mom told me what was on them beforehand, so I've steered well clear. NO matter how evil he was (and he was flippin evil) I can't understand why any of us would want to look at someone being executed. It's totally irresponsible of the media to assume that everyone is comfortable with looking at a picture of someone who is about to be executed. I'm not.

As of right this moment, I am tired of it, too. We have a U.S. President who just passed away, yet all of the top stories/most viewed stories are Saddam related. Pathetic.

You're not helping by asking questions like this, are you? Saddam's execution is a major current event. Saddam was the bogeyman of the west until Osama Bin Laden came along. People are scared there will be more terrorist attacks in retaliation for his death, so it's natural that they'd want to talk about it.
