Surely using the position to commit a crime is a breach of trust , making it a worse crime.

Treating different people differently is a can of worms you really don't want to open. If a crime is committed the criminal should suffer the consequences no matter who they are. Under the eyes of the law we should all be equal.

NO. Just because "he should have known better", doesnt mean he deserves a harsher sentence. Just let the punishment fit the crime.

I agree The court slaps crooked cops on the wrist and tells them they are bad little dough-nut eaters But let a regular citizen get busted for the same offense , the judges try to throw the book at you. This is B.S. The same standards should apply to every one

Why are white collar crimes = to less time in prison then blue collar crimes? A CEO can steal millions from his company and get away clean? Different laws for different people it seems these days.

it is not continuously authentic.
