You can pioneer a support cult for other lonely people, I will be a member lickety split.

You can become very wealthy because there are millions of us out here.

The trick is the hook to get them and hook them. Advertisement will take care of future business.

I promise you, you will no longer be lonely. Friends and family that you never knew you had will come out of the woodwork.

I want to be your best buddy and go on talk shows and around the world with you, since I suggested it.

Hit me up with a call, lets plan strategy.

What do you mean by "fit in"? Because cults and gangs are not accepted in mainstream society. Plus if you are a girl, to join a gang (at least the ones i'm familiar with) you have to sleep with all the male members in order to join. Or else get the shist kicked out of you by a bunch of people. Once in, they make you take the fall for other members' crimes, especially if you are a new/low ranking member. And they make you rob and sometimes kill people. Most gang members are sociopaths, you couldn't make any real friends in a gang anyway. Have you tried joining a church, synagogue, mosque, temple, etc.? Have you tried signing up for one of those local recreation programs, or joining a community center? Are you a student? How about joining a club or sports team?

One more thing, if your depression has lasted longer than two weeks, you might want to talk to your doctor about that. It's possible you could have a treatable chemical imbalance.

For me lonely is when I don't enjoy my own company and MUST seek out another to make me feel okay: loved, interesting, attractive, smart and so on.
Cults and gangs play on your low self esteem with the promise of friendships for life (or death) as the case can be. There are gang mentalities everywhere. People who go to church all the time to be with fellow church goers are in a 'gang' but the results are more socially acceptable than street gangs or cults.
I avoid that need by being physically active: running, swimming, or doing some exerting activity--even cleaning your house can make you feel better. You can find constructive ways to feel better and less alone. Alone in my opinion, is a state of mind you can feel badly about or okay with it. Most great men and women spent heaps of time alone in order to perform their special interests. The difference is they didn't see it as a problem. Volunteer for the disenfranchised! Help a single parent with their children or chores! Visit the elderly in nursing homes! Go to church. Go to the YMCA and work out! Visit your public library and read some new books! Volunteer at the local Humane Society! See. There a tons of things you can do beside get sucked into a group whose intention is to use you and take advantage of you.
Make it a New Year's resolve!
Good Luck!!

You should see a doctor to determine if you have a hormonal imbalance that makes you feel this way. Also a good diet and regular exercise will help you feel better physically and mentally. Join a gym or health club like ymca. How old are you? If in teens or tweens, what you feel is somewhat normal for your age. How long have you felt this way? It could be temporary because of the weather (seasonal affective disorder SAD). Don't join any group that dismisses how you think or feel. You are an individual with your own thoughts and feelings. If someone tries to take you away from things and people you care about or try to take a lot of money from you, they are generally not very good for you.

You could go to church but look before you leap....read the Bible and pray about it before making decisions to joining anything.

One of the main tactics:

Dogma - be it scientific belief or secularism in the church.
Both of the above will try and isolate.

Put your finger on the issue you are dealing with and confront it...there is a core to every problem. Depression is simply unhappiness so what exactly is bothering you? If communication is all it takes to fix the problem then find a solution. If what is making you sad is something that is out of your control then work on acceptance.

Do you garden?
Do you have a musical background?
Join a ballroom group class?

One of the 1st warning flags that indicates a cult is that they tell you not to associate with people outside of their group.

Join a Christian church. Go to several until you find one that fits your style. There are many out there. Some are extreme and some are not. Some are country clubs posing as the House of God but most are really good Christian people who will do anything to help.

Organize yourself. Try to make friends. Go to church regularly. Most important point is that keep yourself busy. Don't be misled.
Remember a man is known by the companion he keeps.

Say No - don't be tempted to follow someone else's way. You have to think for yourself. Keep your mind on what's good and just and also pray. God Bless:)
