Survivor. I loved that song so much when it first came out that I thought there would never be a song as cool as that one again! I was wrong of course but it is a good song!

"Eye of the Tiger" is a song performed by the American rock group Survivor
Survivor is a rock band formed in 1977 by Jim Peterik and Frankie Sullivan. Dave Bickler, Gary Smith and Dennis Johnson were the other members until Smith and Johnson were replaced with Stephan Ellis and Marc Droubay. Before setting up Survivor, Peterik was the lead vocalist/guitarist of the band Ides of March.

As mentioned earlier, Jim Peterik of Survivor was also in a band called Ides of March, who had a 70's hit with the song "Vehicle", which sounded a bit like Blood, Sweat & Tears (for those of you who remember them!).

Survivor is the band, Dave Bickler is the singer. you can find this song on the Rocky Soundtrack, and on various jock jams cds.
