The other day I was watching a show about this couple that had like 13 kids and they spent approx $2500 a month on groceries and they lived in a pretty decent house. The mom did not appear to work as she was always pregnant and taking care of the kids, but what do they do to be able to provide for that many kids?

Seriously, how do people afford that many kids?

I got neighbors that are the same way. The answer is the American government pays for it. This family I know, the father is on disability, and the mother works at a fast food restaurant. They have 10 kids. They live in a nice house and just bought a new boat the other day. Don't know how much a month they recieve in government aid but they live pretty good.

Believe it or not some people live within their means. I am sure most of the children attend public school and there are a lot of hand me downs.
I saw a show about a family not sure if is the same but they were actually building their own home themselves using their own time and money so that they could remain debt free.

It doesn't matter what THEY do to support that many kids, it is what the planet has to do to support that selfish number of additional humans. 40,000 children starve to death everyday, our seas are dying from our waste, arable land is disappearing at 2% per year,finite resources (like oil) will soon run out and people have the stupidity to say the world has room for more people.
We need to reduce world population to 2 billion if any sort of living standard is to be achieved for everyone

In the states the Gov. will help you take care of your children.
It does my heart good knowing that I work every day of the year until around May to help this woman have more and more children.

i think i know what family you are refferring to. 16 children, mormon, live in utah (or somewhere west);
the father is a computer whiz of some sort. the mother home schools her children (2 in college). the older kids help with the younger kids. the mother makes all their clothing, cuts boys' hair. they grow a lot of their own veggies and are building a new home - everyone pitches in.

CRAZY!!

They have to be getting food stamps. A lot of people don't even make $2500 a month.

I'm guessing her husband owns his own company or is CEO of a large company and that they both come from monied families.
