i have limewire basic and i have no connectivity. how do i fix that?

if you know your PC has an internet connection, check the settings in limewire and make sure under the file option, that connect is choosen

if this fails, then reinstall the application

I assume yo have an internet connection as you are here asking the question.
If you have Windows firewall try going to that and make sure Limewire is checked as an exception. In limewire you will know if its a problem when you see a brick wall covering the little globe icon on the bottom near the connection status.
Start
Control Panel
Firewall
Exceptions
Limewire.
Oddly enough sometimes you still will see the brick wall but it connects.
Also try turning the firewall off and see if this helps...maybe at least as a troubleshooting step.

well in the top left theres a button that is used to connect and disconnect from the server, this should be indicated by the signal bars (5) on th botom left of ur window, if that doesnt work , somthing musty of went wrong withur configuration during installation, so just reinstall it

try this link at the limewire website.

ur isp(Internet service provider) just blocking ur software.
change the out going ports for limeware in the tools.
change the port number to 80.
if the above does't fix the problem then try below software instead of
limeware .
((ARES software.))just type ares in google search and download there it is a free software .u can find new movies also in it
