I'm 6' 3'' and I've got a snowboard that's about 8 inches below my chin. I weigh about 185 pounds. Is this snowboard way too short, like it seems? Please help. I've never been snowboarding before and I need some guidance.

Width of the board is MORE inportant than length. Check out the snowboard sizing calculator at http://www.frostyrider.com/tips/size-guide.htm

Generally I think weight is more important than height in determining what size board to get. However since you dont seem to be heavy for your height then I would use a general guideline of choosing a board that comes between your chin and nose. Once you become a better rider you may pick a longer board for speed and stability, or a shorter board for quick, responsive turning. BUt for your first time out I think you're probably best off going with something in the average size range I mentioned above. That's just one opinion. I'm sure someone else will have other recommendations.
