i think they're real..

I think they are... in fact I saw one in the philippine news (i forgot the details) showing a mermaid caught dead... it really is a small creature with long dark hair and big face and a fish tail... maybe not as nice as the fairy tales. I don't know if this is for real but as long as nobody ever reached the deepest bottom of the sea, I'll think they exist.

There is a very rare, genetic condition called "Mermaid Syndrome" where a baby is born with fused legs. It almost always fatal but recently there was a very publicized case of a Peruvian baby born with that syndrome which underwent a successful separation of her legs. But she is in no way the mythical amphibious being.

Imaginary creatures, just like sea serpents. Starting ever since ships were invented, sailors came back with wild reports of fantastic creatures that took them in or sunk their ship. It's more likely that they saw a dolphin while hopelessly drunk.

sure mermaid's do exist i understand because i'm one and for all of us who says they don't there is no evidence ninety 5% of the worlds oceans and rivers is undiscovered and there have been sightings contained in the previous from Christopher Columbus and Henry Hudson and human beings
