ouch!

I get my eyebrows threaded about once a month to make sure I keep the right shape. In between threadings, I just pluck the stray hairs.

It may sound painful, but it really isn't. I go to a professional who is very good at threading (she works in a salon & has been featured as the "Best of the City" several times), so make sure you go to someone who normally does threading and is clean. She basically holds the thread in a loop between her fingers and pulls the hairs out by tightening and lifting the loop.

I've tried waxing my eyebrows before and found that was way more painful - hot wax on and then ripping wax off? Some of my friends prefer waxing because they don't like the threading "sound" so it's definitely personal preference. There's also less swelling & redness with threading.

Hope that helps!

Absolutely, such a clean line, gets rids of all the tiny hairs as well as the longer ones.

Some of my eyebrows are very blonde and so hard to see in some light so makes it hard for tweezing, but threading removes them all.

It is very accurate and although it does hurt, it is very quick (and I've found all methods of eyebrow shaping to be painful!).

I get it done in Southall (south west London) - they are really expert at it and it costs about £3.50.

follow the three step regime:-
1)get em thread and after a week do the same
2)after another week start tweezing(now thts gonna be less painful and gives u a more natural look
3)do thread them once in 2-3 months professionally to maintain a neat look

Its not supposed to hurt like plucking if you have it done proffessionally.I know this can cost quite a bit in a salon.I prefer to use specially shaped wax strips and in between use tweezers to pluck the ones you miss otherwise you could end up eyebrow less.

Better than waxing as waxing over a long period of time causes the skin above the eyelid to go even saggier in old age!!!! Hurts a bit though but the redness goes down alot quicker.

use a thread, twist it into a loop... use the loop, move it over ur brows, the other end held with the mouth...

well it is an indian custom and instead of waxing or plucking they use threads wound around the whole grouping of hair and yank the entire section at one time. sounds too painful to me. i would rather go slow you can always do not enough but what if they yank off too much?

Be very cautious where you have this done. I saw a place at the
mall; and the girl doing the brows wasn't very clean and the little cubicle that they were in didn't look like it could pass a Board of Health inspection.Good luck and..
